Meanwhile, the minimum hourly rate went up to PLN 30.50 (EUR 7.13, USD 7.42), from PLN 28.10 in the second half of last year.
In the first six months of 2024, the country’s minimum monthly wage stood at PLN 4,242, with the minimum hourly rate set at PLN 27.70.
The average gross Polish monthly wage in November was PLN 8,478.26 (EUR 1,985, USD 2,065), with inflation running at 4.7 percent, according to the state-run statistics office (GUS).
More than 3.2 million Poles earn the minimum wage, according to government estimates.
