The figure was in line with a consensus forecast by analysts surveyed by Poland's PAP news agency.
In month-on-month terms, Polish industrial production in January was 2.3 percent higher than in December, the Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.
Meanwhile, the country's seasonally-adjusted industrial production went up by 0.3 percent in year-on-year terms in January, while increasing 0.5 percent month on month, the state-run statistics office reported on Thursday.
According to the European Union's Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, Poland's seasonally-adjusted industrial production dropped 1.4 percent in December last year compared with the same month in 2023.
