There were around 831,300 people without jobs across the nation at the end of March, down from 848,000 a month earlier, according to the government.
The state-run Statistics Poland agency (GUS) reported last month that the Polish jobless rate had held steady at 5.4 percent in February, unchanged from January.
Meanwhile, the European Union’s Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, estimated this month that unemployment in Poland stood at 2.6 percent in February, marking the lowest rate in the 27-nation bloc.
