Polish industrial production up 2.5% y/y in March: stats office

Industrial production in Poland rose 2.5 percent in March compared with the same month a year earlier, the country’s statistics office has reported.

The figure was 1.1 percentage points below the 3.6 percent increase forecast by analysts surveyed by state news agency PAP.

In month-on-month terms, Polish industrial production in March was 8.6 percent higher than in February, the Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.

Meanwhile, the country's seasonally-adjusted industrial production went up by 3.8 percent in year-on-year terms in March, while decreasing 0.7 percent month on month, the state-run statistics office said on Tuesday.

According to the European Union's Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, Poland's seasonally-adjusted industrial production rose 1.2 percent in February compared with the same month in 2024.
