"Industrial production in July increased by 2.9 percent, clearly exceeding analysts’ expectations," Finance and Economy Minister Andrzej Domański wrote on X, adding that "capital goods posted especially strong growth, at 11.8 percent."
Poland’s statistics office reported on Thursday that industrial production last month was 2.9 percent higher than in July 2024, well above a consensus forecast of 1.6 percent from analysts polled by state news agency PAP.
In month-on-month terms, Polish industrial production in July was 0.2 percent higher than in June, the Statistics Poland (GUS) agency also said.
Meanwhile, the country's seasonally-adjusted industrial production increased by 1.1 percent in year-on-year terms in July, while going up 0.9 percent month on month, according to Statistics Poland.
