Poland’s public media have launched a nationwide initiative using art, music, and storytelling to promote a modern image of the country and celebrate its people’s creativity and unity.
The campaign Polska na TAK - loosely translated as Poland Says YES - kicks off on 11 November in Lublin, eastern Poland, to mark Independence Day. It will continue in other cities, where a series of murals will be created.

The joint project by Polish Radio and public television will reach its first milestone on 11 November in Lublin, where the first of eleven murals will be unveiled at 11:11 a.m., followed by a large evening concert in the city’s Castle Square.

The campaign centres on the symbolic number eleven - featuring eleven murals, eleven concerts, and eleven cultural ambassadors representing various fields, including ski jumper Adam Małysz, singer Kamil Bednarek, journalist Mariusz Szczygieł, and artist Andrzej Pągowski.

The concert in Lublin’s Castle Square aims to bring generations together and tell the story of a free Poland through a modern musical performance.

Television Information Agency Director Grzegorz Sajór said the campaign will visit communities across Poland to showcase local pride and positive change. He added that the initiative will continue beyond 11 November, with new murals unveiled throughout the year and schools encouraged to take part in this intergenerational project.
