Polish wages 6.7% up y/y in Q1 2026: stats office

The average monthly wage in Poland in the first quarter of this year rose by 6.7 percent compared with the same quarter of 2025, the country’s statistics office has reported.

The average gross monthly wage in the first quarter of 2026 was PLN 9,562.88 (around EUR 2,250, USD 2,620), the Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said.

The figure was 4 percent up on the final quarter of last year, according to the office.

The state-run statistics agency reported last month that average wages in Poland's corporate sector increased by 6.6 percent in March compared with the same month a year earlier.

Meanwhile, inflation in Poland stood at 3.2 percent in year-on-year terms in April, according to a flash estimate released by Statistics Poland at the end of last month.

The country's minimum monthly wage increased 3 percent at the start of this year to PLN 4,806, from PLN 4,666 in 2025.
