Month-on-month, prices fell 0.3 percent.

The figures confirm an earlier flash estimate.

The main driver of the slowdown was food, which became cheaper by 1 percent compared to April, with notable price drops in vegetables, meat and fats.

Fuel prices also dipped 0.1 percent on the month, though they remain 12.3 percent higher than a year ago.

Energy prices were unchanged from April.

The Polish central bank predicted in its latest Inflation Report, released on March 6, that inflation would average 2.3 percent this year, followed by 2.4 percent in 2027 and 2.3 percent in 2028.
