Thirty-seven percent of respondents described the economy as good in August, while 25 percent said it was in bad shape.
A further 34 percent were neutral on the issue, with the remainder undecided.
The share of respondents with a positive view of the economy rose by 3 percentage points from the previous survey a month earlier, while the proportion expressing negative views fell by 5 points, CBOS said.
At the same time, public sentiment about the country’s overall direction improved slightly, according to CBOS.
Thirty-one percent of respondents said Poland was headed in the right direction, up by 3 percentage points from July, while 47 percent said the country was moving in the wrong direction, down by 3 points.
The poll was carried out from August 20 to 30 on a sample of 935 respondents, state news agency PAP reported.
