The pizzeria has appeared regularly in 50 Top Pizza rankings for the past five years.
"I am delighted with our place in the ranking because I believe it is not only our success, but also a form of promotion for our country," said Jędrzej Lewandowski, co-owner of Zielona Górka.
"This year, I heard from Italians who said they would like to come to Poland," he added.
The 50 Top Pizza online guide is often described as the equivalent of the Michelin Guide for pizzerias.
Now in its 10th year, it is updated annually, with rankings based on assessments by anonymous inspectors who evaluate the pizza, ingredients, service, cleanliness and waiting time.
This year's top-ranked pizzeria was Napoli on the Road in London, run by chef Michele Pascarella.
Restaurants operating in Italy were evaluated in a separate ranking.
In June, Zielona Górka was ranked No. 18 in Europe in the 50 Top Pizza Europe ranking, while Warsaw's Ciao a Tutti ranked 33rd among the continent's top pizzerias. Five other Polish establishments—Ostro in the Baltic city of Gdańsk and Warsaw’s Mąka i Woda, Pezzo, Pizzaiolo and Spacca Napoli—received honorable mentions.
