Polish inflation at 3% in July: stats office

Inflation in Poland stood at 3 percent in year-on-year terms in July, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Friday in a final estimate.

The figure was a notch lower than a flash estimate released by the government-run statistics agency at the end of last month.

In June, the prices of consumer goods and services in Poland were 3.3 percent higher than in the same month a year earlier, according to the Central Statistical Office.

The state-run statistics agency earlier this year said it had revised its system of weights used for calculating the consumer price index in Poland in 2020.
