In February, the EU executive forecast that Polish GDP would grow 3.1 percent in 2021.
The commission expects the Polish economy to pick up speed and expand 5.4 percent next year, notching up the seventh-highest level of growth in the 27-nation European Union.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said last week that the Polish economy could rebound strongly in the second half of this year after being dented by the coronavirus crisis.
The Polish economy shrank 2.7 percent last year after growing 4.7 percent in 2019, according to the country's Central Statistical Office.
