There were around 819,700 people without jobs across the nation at the end of June, down by 30,500 from a month earlier, according to the Polish labour ministry.
The state-run Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported last month that the Polish jobless rate had dropped to 5.1 percent in May, from 5.2 percent in April.
Meanwhile, the European Union’s Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, estimated at the end of last month that unemployment in Poland was a modest 2.7 percent in May, the second-lowest rate in the 27-nation European Union.
