Since 2017, Poland has been the No.1 electric-bus manufacturer and exporter in the EU, providing the eco-friendly vehicles not only to other member states, but also to Norway, the UK, Switzerland, Moldova and Ukraine, the rp.pl website reported.

Meanwhile, Poland has been expanding its own fleet of electric buses, now boasting around 900 zero-emission vehicles – one of the largest in Europe.

A vast majority of electric buses in Poland were made in domestic production plants, which have grown to play an important part in the industry’s Europe-wide supply chains.

Apart from delivering fully functional buses, Polish plants also manufacture Li-ion batteries or electric-vehicle charging stations, rp.pl reported.
