"Alongside representatives from Australia, Canada and the Netherlands, I was elected vice-chair of the governing board of the International Energy Agency," Moskwa said in a tweet on Wednesday.
She added that the agency "is a leading international institution in the energy sector."
Moskwa, who serves as Climate and Environment Minister, also tweeted that her election "is an expression of recognition for Poland's energy policy, our achievements and directions of action."
"Thank you for your trust," she wrote.
The International Energy Agency is a Paris-based intergovernmental organisation, established in 1974, that provides policy recommendations, analysis and data on the global energy sector.
It operates within the broader framework of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), according to officials.
