There were around 782,400 people without jobs across the nation at the end of July, down by 1,200 from a month earlier, according to the government.
The state-run Statistics Poland agency (GUS) reported last week that the Polish jobless rate had dropped to 5 percent in June, from 5.1 percent in May.
Meanwhile, the European Union’s Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, estimated this week that unemployment in Poland was a modest 2.7 percent in June, unchanged from May and one of the lowest rates in the 27-nation bloc.
