The declaration was unveiled in Dubai on Saturday, day three of COP28, public broadcaster Polish Radio's IAR news agency reported.
Polish President Andrzej Duda said in his address that nuclear power was "the future of clean, safe and stable energy" and of "just energy transition."
He added that without nuclear energy it would not be possible to "protect the planet."
The president noted that Poland would launch its first nuclear power plant in 2033, in cooperation with US firms Westinghouse and Bechtel, followed by a second nuclear facility, co-developed with South Korea.
Duda added that Poland aimed to be "the European leader" in small reactors (SMRs) as a "perfect complement" to full-scale nuclear stations.
Poland and over 20 other nations, including the United States, France, Britain, Sweden and South Korea, signed a declaration to triple nuclear power capacity by 2050, from the current 370 GW, the Reuters news agency reported.
The leaders of the 198 nations gathered in Dubai discussed ways to tackle global warming on Friday and Saturday, before diplomats took over to thrash out the COP 28 summit's final agreement, the IAR news agency reported.
The 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 28) runs until December 12.
