The inaugural flight, set to depart this evening, will be operated by Ethiopian Airlines using Boeing 737 and Airbus A350 aircraft.
Radosław Grabski, a representative of Ethiopian Airlines in Poland, announced that this new route will be available to passengers from all over Central and Eastern Europe. Warsaw will serve as a transit hub for the airline, connecting passengers from other countries in this region.
Additionally, Ethiopian Airlines aims to attract passengers to transfer in Addis Ababa for flights to 135 countries across several continents, excluding Australia.
This new route is part of a series of direct connections introduced at Warsaw Chopin Airport this year. Since March, travelers have been able to fly directly from Warsaw to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. In June, LOT Polish Airlines launched direct flights to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
