The reading was better than forecast by analysts, who had expected industrial production to decrease 1.1 percent last month, Poland's PAP news agency reported.
In month-on-month terms, Polish industrial production in June was 3.2 percent higher than in May, the Statistics Poland (GUS) agency said on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the country's seasonally-adjusted industrial production went up by 1.8 percent in year-on-year terms in June, while increasing 1.3 percent month on month, the state-run statistics office reported.
According to the European Union’s Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, seasonally-adjusted industrial production fell by 0.4 percent in Poland in May, compared with the same month last year.
