The reading was in line with an earlier estimate by the labour ministry.
There were around 772,300 people without jobs across the nation at the end of August, compared with 765,400 a month earlier, according to the state-run Statistics Poland (GUS) office.
The statistics agency reported last month that employment in Polish companies decreased by 0.5 percent in August on average in year-on-year terms.
According to the European Union's Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, unemployment in Poland stood at 2.9 percent in July, marking the second-lowest rate in the 27-nation bloc.
