There were around 776,200 people without jobs across the nation at the end of November, up by 1.4 percent from a month earlier, according to the government.
The state-run Statistics Poland agency (GUS) reported last month that the Polish jobless rate had dropped to 4.9 percent in October, from 5 percent in September.
Meanwhile, the European Union’s Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, estimated this month that unemployment in Poland stood at 3.1 percent in October, marking the third-lowest rate in the 27-nation bloc.
