Billed as one of the largest business events in Central Europe, the annual European Economic Congress in Katowice explores key economic challenges in Poland, Europe and the wider world.
This year the key focus is European security and new ideas to boost economies and ensure a fair transition across the European Union, according to organizers.
The event, held under the motto "United for a Safe Future," will include over 200 panel discussions featuring 1,200 experts, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Expected guests include senior business executives from across Europe and a contingent of Polish government officials.
The debates will explore various issues in business and technology, including energy transformation.
The conference, which is now in its 17th year, runs until Friday.
