Nearly 18.5 million Poles fully vaccinated for COVID-19: gov't data

A total of 35,865,591 vaccine shots have been administered in Poland so far, including 34,755 over the last 24 hours, officials announced on Tuesday.

Public health authorities said that 14,458 adverse reactions had been reported among those who received the vaccines by Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, a total of 352,729 doses have been wasted in the rollout, according to the Polish health ministry.

As of TuesdayPoland had injected more than 19 million first doses of COVID-19 vaccines, while almost 18.5 million people had been fully inoculated, health ministry data showed.

The tally includes two-dose vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca as well as Johnson & Johnson's one-shot vaccine.

Poland on Tuesday reported 233 new coronavirus infections and eight more deaths related to COVID-19, bringing the country's total number of cases during the pandemic to 2,887,037 and fatalities to 75,324.
