Antonio Zapatero, the Spanish vice-minister for health responsible for the Spanish Covid Plan, made the statement in the midst of the 7th wave of covid currently hitting Spain, in an interview for the specialist online magazine "Redaccion Medica".

Zapatero highlighted the distinguishing features of the new form of COVID, "COVID 22": fainting, low blood-pressure, coughing, fever, headaches and muscle aches.

Spain's 7th wave is witnessing a thus-far low but rising level of hospitalisation. Zapatero says the number of asymptomatic cases - thanks to vaccination - may be very high.
