It said in an article that Warsaw's "foodie revolution," driven by "the rise of the food hall," was turning the Polish capital into "a year-round destination."
The article, penned by Tom Chesshyre, noted that a number of new food halls opened in the city, including Elektrownia Powiśle "in an old power station by the River Vistula and billed as Warsaw’s version of London’s Borough Market."
The list also includes Hala Gwardii, "a cavernous market selling sausages, pickled cucumbers and local cheeses," and Hala Koszyki, "a fine Art Nouveau structure where beef ribs and craft lager,” The Daily Mail reported.
Meanwhile, "a fantastic Christmas market, with a skating rink in the Old Town main square,” is set to open in Warsaw on November 25 and run until January 6, the paper said.
Another popular spot is Browary Warszawskie, a former brewery converted into food halls, shops and restaurants. Its main attraction is Nine’s bar and restaurant owned by Poland’s football star Robert Lewandowski.
The restaurant offers “pretzels covered in fondue, … barbecue ribs, … craft ales and vodka concoctions, and cocktails poured from trophy-shaped jugs," The Daily Mail said.
