At least 35 hurt after Polish bus crashes in Germany

At least 35 people were injured after a Polish bus crashed in eastern Germany on Tuesday, according to news reports.

Six of the injured were in a serious condition, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported, citing local media.

The accident, on Germany's A12 freeway, which connects Berlin with the Polish border, occurred shortly after noon, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

Local police said two trucks, including a tanker truck, were also involved in the accident, whose cause was not immediately known.

Polish police said in a tweet that "Polish police officers have been deployed to the scene to support rescue operations."
