Sebastian Nowacki, a junior police officer from the central city of Płock, announced on Thursday that he is en route to Brussels where he will begin his ambitious solo journey that involves cycling a challenging 1,400-km route to Warsaw, PAP wrote.
The ride is set to commence on June 10 from the European Parliament in Brussels to culminate at a medical institute in Warsaw on June 14, coinciding with World Blood Donor Day.
Known as the 'IPA Blood Race for Life,' the cycling rally takes its name from the International Police Association of which Nowacki is a member.
Accompanied by a three-person technical crew, Nowacki aims to complete the entire journey non-stop, with a brief break in Berlin on June 12.
Along the route, Nowacki hopes to inspire others to join him, promoting a healthy lifestyle and the importance of blood donation.
Nowacki'previous charitable cycling rally in 2021 showcased his commitment to making a positive impact, PAP wrote.
