Quoting a recent poll by CBOS, the agency wrote that 51%  of those surveyed said the developments in the country were being unwelcome, while 35%  stated to the contrary.

Some 14% did not have a definitive opinion, according to CBOS.

In August, the figures were 48% , 34%  and 18%, respectively.

CBOS noted that satisfaction with the country's outlook tended to be higher among older respondents, rural residents, individuals with lower educational levels and lower per capita incomes.

Retirees exhibited the highest level of satisfaction among social groups, followed by farmers and disability pensioners, the survey found.

Conversely, students, young adults, as well as professionals and managerial personnel with higher education, expressed relatively lower satisfaction with the country's outlook.

Perceptions of the overall situation in Poland were found to be influenced by respondents' worldviews and political preferences.

Those with stronger religious beliefs tended to hold a more positive view of the country's direction, and individuals leaning towards right-wing political ideologies expressed greater satisfaction, PAP wrote.

Potential ruling party supporters were more likely to be satisfied while dissatisfaction was more prevalent among supporters of opposition groups.

Looking ahead, 25% of respondents believed that the situation would improve, 33% anticipated no change and 26% percent expected a deterioration.

Meanwhile, 16 % had no opinion on the matter.

The survey was conducted  between September 4-14 on a sample of 1,073 adult Poles.

On October 15, Polish citizens will head to the ballot box to elect 460 new MPs and 100 senators for a four-year term.

Poland’s governing conservatives are striving for a third consecutive term in power, maintaining a clear lead over the opposition in most recent surveys.
