"We want to discuss the issues, PiS only wants to talk about us"

Rafał Trzaskowski, the current Mayor of Warsaw and one of the leaders of the opposition, has protested that the ruling party is focussed on personal attacks in its campaign while the opposition wants to discuss the issues.

Trzaskowski made the statement while addressing the public in Lębork - a town in northern Poland, near Gdańsk. 

Trzaskowski has been frequently mentioned as a popular alternative to Donald Tusk as a candidate for Prime Minister or President. He has been consistently high in rankings of trusted politicians:

In a generally aggressive general election, Donald Tusk has been singled out for personal attacks, according to multiple media reports. In this situation, several commentators have said a change of candidate for prime minister from Tusk to Trzaskowski would increase the chances of the opposition.
