Hołownia, a prominent figure in Polish politics, is known for his background as a journalist, television presenter, and author. He rose to political prominence during the 2020 presidential elections, where he ran as an independent candidate and finished third. His centrist, pro-European Union stance and appeal to moderate voters have distinguished him in the Polish political landscape.

Hołownia's ascent to the top of the trust rankings marks a notable change, especially as President Andrzej Duda, a key figure from the ruling Law and Justice party, fell to fifth place. This is the first time in eight years that Duda has been outside the top three in trust rankings.

Hołownia received 49% positive responses, with 25.4% expressing strong trust and 23.6% rather trusting him. This score is close to the record high in the IBRIS poll's history, a benchmark set by Duda in September 2020.

Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski, a member of the opposition Civic Platform party, ranked second in the trust poll. He is followed by Donald Tusk, the former Prime Minister of Poland and a prominent figure in the European Union, who marked his return to the national political scene as the leader of the main opposition party Civic Coalition.

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the President of the Polish People's Party (PSL), also saw a positive shift in public trust, reflecting his party's centrist and agrarian-focused policies.

The survey indicates a dynamic shift in the Polish political landscape, reflecting public sentiment towards various political figures. Trust in Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and leftist co-chairmen Robert Biedroń and Włodzimierz Czarzasty also showed variations.

Notably, Zbigniew Ziobro, Jarosław Kaczyński, and Krzysztof Bosak, all associated with the right-wing of Polish politics, received the highest number of negative responses in the poll.

The poll was conducted on November 24-25, 2023, with a nationwide sample of 1,100 respondents.
