The Polish army has swiftly implemented an action plan to provide immediate assistance in the affected regions, according to officials.

"Due to the flood alert and flooding caused by ice jams in the Wyszków area, we are deploying a unit of territorial defense troops to support the threatened area," the Territorial Defense Force (WOT) tweeted on Tuesday.

The surge in the water level in the Bug River is attributed to snowmelt and accumulating flooding, leading Poland's Institute of Meteorology and Water Management to issue a third-degree warning for exceeding alert levels in the central Mazovia region.

As part of the coordinated response, a district crisis management team convened on Tuesday, featuring the participation of Deputy Interior and Administration Minister Wiesław Leśniakiewicz, regional governor Mariusz Frankowski and firefighters.

During the meeting, concerns were raised about the partial flooding of the village of Młynarze in the Zabrodzie municipality, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

Leśniakiewicz told reporters that the village had been cut off by flood waters and that fire trucks were being used to transport children to school.

"While the village does not currently require evacuation, access is limited," Leśniakiewicz said. "Some residents have temporarily relocated to their relatives. I spoke with one family whose building is flooded, with water surrounding the area. Many buildings have been affected."
