The poll indicates that 74.8 percent of respondents do not support such a move, while only 10.2 percent are in favor, with 15 percent expressing no opinion.
Despite the reluctance to deploy troops to Ukraine, the survey suggests that there is support for initiating discussions with NATO and Ukraine regarding the establishment of air defense systems near the border. Specifically, respondents agree that measures should be taken to intercept Russian missiles or drones targeting Poland.
"In addition to the opposition to sending troops to Ukraine, the survey highlights a willingness to engage in talks with NATO and Ukraine to enhance border security," the report stated.
Another IBRiS survey conducted at the end of February revealed that 69.3 percent of respondents favored initiating discussions on air defense measures near the border, with 17.6 percent opposing the idea and 13.1 percent expressing no opinion.
