A new report, commissioned from SW for the Wprost weekly, has found that a majority of Polish people do not wish to see religion taught in schools.

Almost 52% are against religion in schools, and a further 16.2% are "indifferent", leaving only 32% actively in favour.

Among women, the figures are even more critical of the current situation, with only 27.4% in favour of religion in schools.

As Radio Poland reported earlier this week, the crisis of religion in schools is also present on the Church side - with a lack of catechism teachers.
