Night of Libraries 2024: Celebrating the power of books and local community in Poland

The festivities will begin with a formal inauguration at 7 PM in the Treasury of the National Library in Warsaw, where writers, partners, and library representatives from across the nation will be present.

The Night of Libraries has proven to positively impact reading habits and library usage in local communities, according to Tomasz Makowski, director of the event.

The opening will include a concert by Stanisław Soyka, followed by a genre-themed silent disco in the palace's basement.

Night of Libraries is a nationwide celebration aimed at promoting the use of libraries as accessible cultural institutions for all ages.

The event also features a "Share Your Books" initiative, encouraging readers to donate read books, classics, and sought-after titles to libraries.
