The shocking discovery in this case occurred completely by chance. Police received a report about a fight between two men at the train station in the town of Verl in western Germany.

Witnesses claimed to have heard one of the men confess to murder.

Two individuals were arrested in connection with the incident: a 33-year-old German man and a 40-year-old Polish man named Jerzy Józef D., who worked as a bricklayer in the area.

Following an order from the public prosecutor's office in Bielefeld, authorities conducted a search that revealed dismembered human body parts in the freezer of the Polish man's apartment.

An autopsy will help determine the cause of death, and investigators must also identify the victim in order to press charges against the detained Polish man. His German companion was released.
