WOŚP auctions begin ahead of Poland's biggest charity event

On Monday, December 2, online fundraising for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) began. The 33rd edition of the event will culminate on January 26, 2025.

Jerzy Owsiak, the head of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP), during the dispatch of collection boxes for the 33rd WOŚP Finale from the UPS warehouse in Łazy, located about 30 km northeast of Warsaw. The charity event will take place on January 26, 2025, with a focus on pediatric oncology and hematology.

This year, volunteers across Poland and many other countries worldwide will raise funds to support pediatric oncology and hematology.

Jurek Owsiak, the popular president of the WOŚP Foundation, encouraged participation in the auction through social media. The auction is hosted on Allegro, the largest online marketplace in Poland, where users can buy and sell a wide range of products.

"It's a great opportunity to get unique items, fulfill dreams, and find collectible treasures with a special history," explains Owsiak.

Those who want to contribute in a creative way can create their own fundraisers through Allegro, donate items to one of the 1,686 local WOŚP committees, or sign up directly with the WOŚP Foundation via the website aukcje.wosp.org.pl.

During last year's final, the charity raised nearly 289 million PLN (over 67 million EUR), with about 37 million PLN (8.62 million EUR) coming from online donations.
