With its newly expanded campus and international partnerships, BSW is positioning itself as a leader in education for Warsaw’s international community, offering innovative programs and state-of-the-art facilities for its growing student body.
The school, which has over 400 students and is part of the prestigious International Schools Partnership (ISP) network, aims to serve a growing number of families in the Polish capital.
The expansion includes a new kindergarten building with nine classrooms and a primary school wing with eight additional classrooms.
A modern sports hall, nearing completion, and new outdoor sports facilities have also been added.
With these developments, BSW will be able to educate more than 500 students and further enhance its infrastructure for quality teaching and learning.
Tom McGrath, the school's principal, emphasized the importance of the expansion for BSW's long-term vision.
"The development of our facilities, including the new kindergarten and primary school buildings, is a key step toward offering a comprehensive and modern educational experience," he said.
"By introducing our Early Years Foundation Stage program to three-year-olds, we ensure that children acquire essential skills and attitudes from an early stage. We draw on global expertise and successful projects to deliver the highest standards in early education."
BSW became the first school in Poland to join the International Schools Partnership in 2023, a global network of some 85 schools across 23 countries.
Bharat Mansukhani, ISP's Divisional CEO for Europe and the Middle East, praised BSW’s rapid progress.
"In just 20 months since joining ISP, British Primary School of Wilanów has made significant strides," he said. "The new facilities reflect a strong commitment to modern teaching and learning. We are proud to support this school and share best practices from across the world."
As the demand for international education grows in Warsaw, BSW aims to remain a school of choice for expatriate families and international professionals.
McGrath said that collaboration with ISP provides the school community with valuable global experiences: "The partnership enables our students and staff to benefit from proven international models of education. With three ISP schools now operating in Wilanów alone, we can confidently build on our strengths and contribute to the vibrant international community in Poland."
Key milestones in British Primary School of Wilanów's growth include its 2018 accreditation from the Council of British International Schools (COBIS), which recognized the school’s compliance with international standards.
In 2021, the school celebrated its first group of Year 9 students completing their education, marking a significant milestone in its academic development.
Most recently, BSW completed a major expansion, opening new kindergarten and Key Stage 3 buildings, along with upgraded sports and outdoor facilities to better serve its growing community.
