Professor Antoni Dudek, speaking with Polsat News, criticized Karol Nawrocki, the current head of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) and presidential candidate backed by the right-wing Law and Justice (PiS) party. He accused Nawrocki of using harsh governance methods and turning the institution into a tool for his personal promotion.

Dudek, a political scientist and historian who served on the IPN council for six years, noted that the nominally independent Nawrocki, endorsed by PiS for the upcoming presidential elections, could intensify the polarization of Polish politics. His approach to leadership at the IPN has been described as both ruthless and controversial.

Nawrocki's ruthless determination in Polish politics raises concerns for the IPN scholar

"As someone with ties to the Institute of National Remembrance, I had the opportunity to see Nawrocki in several situations, and I have formed an opinion on this matter. He is a ruthless and determined person, focused on achieving success, and so far, he has been moving from one success to another," warned Professor Dudek on Polsat News.

Dudek emphasized that Nawrocki’s firmness and determination set him apart from current President Andrzej Duda, making him a deliberate choice by PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński for the presidency.

According to Dudek, Nawrocki as president would likely push for the collapse of the ruling coalition and call for early elections, potentially escalating political conflicts.

Nawrocki's main goal is to push for early elections and the collapse of the ruling coalition, says Prof. Dudek

The professor warned that Donald Tusk’s government would face significant challenges in cooperating with Nawrocki, who would be unwilling to compromise. Social tensions could also rise due to protests organized by PiS, in which Nawrocki, as their chosen candidate, might play an active role.

Dudek described Nawrocki as a relentless and determined figure, focused on achieving success—a characteristic that raises concerns about the future of Polish politics. According to the professor, Nawrocki's main goal is to push for early elections and the collapse of the ruling coalition in Poland.

The only response from Nawrocki to the professor's allegations was a post on X.com, where he assured that he has been "determined and effective" in matters concerning Poland and Poles for years.

Uncomfortable facts emerge about Nawrocki's alleged ties to criminals

However, more and more uncomfortable facts are emerging against Nawrocki.

As we previously reported on the Radio Poland portal, Poland's Internal Security Agency (ABW) detained a 47-year-old man identified as "Olgierd L. from Gdańsk," a prominent figure in the criminal underworld, suspected of having ties to Nawrocki.

The Racist and Xenophobic Behavior Monitoring Center, a non-governmental and non-profit organization from Poland, had previously warned that Karol Nawrocki has long been "in alliance with Nazis and criminals who raped Polish women," and that it is easy to find his photographs online, including one with a member of a gang that forced women into prostitution in brothels in Gdańsk, located in northern Poland, and Germany.
