Of those surveyed, 53.3% “strongly agree” and 16.4% “somewhat agree” that individuals violating a driving ban should face a lifelong revocation of their license. Meanwhile, 8.3% “somewhat disagree,” 17.4% “strongly disagree,” and about 5% are undecided.

Women proved more inclined toward strict penalties, with 59% strongly in favor, compared to 48% among men. Support was particularly high among respondents aged 70 and above (75%) and those aged 18–29 (66%). Pollsters also found that voters for most political parties in Poland largely backed the measure:

  • Third Way: 53% “strongly agree,” though a substantial minority disagreed
  • Civic Coalition: 56% in favor
  • Law and Justice: 64% in favor
  • Confederation: 70% in favor

The survey of 1,068 adults was conducted on Jan. 10–11, 2025, using computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI).
