The survey, conducted between January 10 and 12, found 46.2% of respondents think Trump’s presidency will have a “positive” or “rather positive” effect, while 40.6% say it “won’t” or “definitely won’t” improve security. Another 13.1% are undecided.
Opinions diverge along party lines. Among supporters of the liberal ruling coalition (Civic Coalition, Third Way, Left), 49% doubt Trump’s impact on Poland’s safety, with 11% saying it will be “definitely negative.” By contrast, 67% of those backing right-wing opposition parties (Law and Justice, Confederation) foresee a “rather” or “definitely” better security outlook under Trump.
The poll combined computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) and online surveys (CAWI), sampling 1,000 adults. Wirtualna Polska notes that the data highlight deep political divides over Trump’s potential influence—but a substantial segment still hopes his administration will enhance Poland’s strategic position.
