Since June 2024, the government's in vitro support initiative has resulted in 9,258 pregnancies, with over 23,000 couples already qualifying and showing significant interest.

Yesterday, the first baby born through this initiative arrived in Warsaw. In a social media post, Prime Minister Donald Tusk expressed that this news is a positive sign for the future of other couples who have also benefited from this assisted reproductive method.

Minister of Health Izabela Leszczyna informed in a radio program that the baby girl was born prematurely but both she and her mother are doing well.

A total of 23,510 couples have qualified for the program, with over 18,000 already starting the procedure. Furthermore, as Minister Izabela Leszczyna mentioned, "over 500 individuals undergoing cancer treatment have already secured their fertility for the future."

The government’s in vitro procedure is available to married or cohabiting couples who have been diagnosed with infertility or whose infertility treatment has been unsuccessful.
