Nearly 57 percent of respondents said they do not feel more secure in light of Trump’s stance, while just under 37 percent expressed a heightened sense of safety.

The survey, conducted by pollster IBRiS for the newspaper Rzeczpospolita, showed that Trump’s supporters in Poland largely come from the political opposition and are viewers of conservative media.

Those concerned about the US administration’s actions tend to be government supporters, residents of smaller towns, and people with higher education levels, often relying on broadcasters such as TVN and TVP Info.

Retired General Mirosław Różański, chair of the Senate defense committee, cited “a certain cacophony of declarations by American politicians,” which he said could explain the public’s discomfort.

Trump’s recent meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda prompted Duda to say that Trump "envisions strengthening the American military presence in Poland rather than reducing it."

However, some experts, such as Roman Kuźniar, a diplomat and professor at the University of Warsaw, warn that a rapprochement between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin could diminish Poland’s strategic significance to the United States.
