Nearly all the cases (99%) involved COVID-19 vaccinations, the newspaper said.

According to Fakt, the payouts were made through the Protective Vaccination Compensation Fund, administered by the Patient Ombudsman.

In total, 265 individuals have benefited, receiving over PLN 5.6 million.

The fund covers claims of side effects tied to any vaccine, although COVID-19-related complications overwhelmingly dominate.

The maximum compensation stands at PLN 100,000 for cases requiring over 120 days of hospitalization.

The lowest amount, set at PLN 3,000, applies to incidents such as anaphylactic shock.

The Patient Ombudsman’s office reportedly issued 78 such decisions, according to Fakt.
