City officials said the bus will run daily at 7:00 pm. The latest edition expands an initiative that has already covered 40,000 km and served 140,000 meals.

“The bus lets us reach people where help often doesn’t,” said Magdalena Wdowiak-Urbańczyk of the city’s Social Affairs Department, noting regulars know the route and hours, enabling “comprehensive support.”

This year an ambulance, handed over to the St. Brother Albert Aid Society by the Marshal’s Office, will accompany the effort. “We often meet people in poor health, chilled, with wounds needing immediate support,” said society chair Rafał Peroń.

The route starts at ul. Sieradzka, passes al. Hallera, near the Centrum Historii Zajezdnia, Galeria Dominikańska and pl. Grunwaldzki, and ends at ul. Sucha, with designated stops along the way.

The project is a joint effort by City Hall, MPK Wrocław, the Municipal Social Welfare Center and the St. Brother Albert Aid Society.

Wrocław maintains 20 support facilities—shelters, soup kitchens, baths and night shelters—and offers nearly 750 beds in the autumn-winter season. Around 500,000 hot meals are served annually, about 1,300 daily.

A 2024 city survey estimated roughly 900 people in Wrocław are experiencing homelessness.
