Piotr Wolski, spokesperson for the European Commission Representation in Poland, said visitors to the Europa Experience multimedia center in Warsaw would be able to take part in numerous attractions and educational activities throughout the day.
The program includes workshops dedicated to so-called circular fashion, encouraging the reuse and recycling of clothing and materials. Other attractions include Lego keychain-making workshops, Europe-themed map puzzles, and a “European Wheel of Fortune” quiz testing knowledge about the European Union for both children and adults.
Guests visiting Europa Experience will also be welcomed with hot chocolate or coffee decorated with foam prints of their own portraits.
Moreover, panel discussions and meetings are planned with participants, including European Parliament member Michał Szczerba, Deputy Foreign Minister Ignacy Niemczycki, representatives of the European Investment Bank, and the Polish Space Agency.
Europe Day is observed annually on either May 5 or May 9. Countries belonging to the Council of Europe but not the European Union traditionally observe it on May 5, while EU member states officially celebrate Europe Day on May 9, commemorating the 1950 Schuman Declaration that laid the foundations for European integration.
