The broadcaster said on Tuesday that its "New Year's Eve with TVP 2" bash will feature a long lineup of performers led by veteran pop singer Maryla Rodowicz, who has been on the Polish music scene for almost six decades.
Other acts will include the popular Polish band Golec uOrkiestra and the German duo Modern Talking, alongside “Disco Polo King” Zenon Martyniuk and teenage star Viki Gabor, who won this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
TVP CEO Jacek Kurski said that Zakopane, Poland’s premier mountain and ski resort, was a special place for people to have fun and ring in the new year.
Last year, a crowd estimated at 70,000 partied there to music by Polish and international performers, with the festivities watched by some 5.8 million TVP viewers on their television screens.
