Soldiers from the country’s Territorial Defence Force (WOT) will be deployed to ensure health and safety for schoolchildren during scouting camps and various other recreational activities this summer, Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak announced on Monday.

Thanks to soldiers, children will be kept "completely safe" during the summer vacations, Błaszczak told reporters.

Territorial Defence Force commander Gen. Wiesław Kukuła said assistance from soldiers would include training and logistics and medical support, including “the decontamination of leisure infrastructures and means of transportation.”
