Duda, who is campaigning intensely in an effort to win a second term in office in a June 28 presidential election, said he hoped the voucher system would come into force in time for this year’s summer holiday season.
Outlining details of the scheme, he added that vouchers would be awarded to families regardless of their income level, and would be valid until the end of 2021.
The credits are intended only for holidays in Poland.
Duda said he hoped the vouchers would boost the country’s tourism industry, which has been badly hit by the coronavirus crisis.
He announced the launch of the voucher system during an election campaign meeting at the weekend, and gave details of his plan on Monday.
