Saving historic Tartar village in eastern Poland
Kruszyniany is a small village in eastern Poland, virtually on the border with Belarus. It has been known for its minority of Muslim Tartars, living there since the 17th century, on lands which were a royal gift to the Lipka Tartars who fought on the side of King Jan Sobieski against the invading Turks.

Now the historic site needs extra protection against large-scale agricultural projects.
