Exactly three fourths of respondents in the survey by the pollster CBOS said that the war in Ukraine threatened Poland’s security, state news agency PAP reported.
It is the same result as the month before, news outlets noted.
When asked if Russia’s invasion of Ukraine represented a threat to Polish security, 35 percent of the survey participants said “yes, definitely,” while a further 40 percent replied that “rather yes.”
Meanwhile, 18 percent said “rather no,” two percent replied “definitely not,” while five percent responded that it was “difficult to say.”
At the same time, more than four fifths of those asked, 81 percent, were in favour of accepting refugees from war-torn Ukraine, the PAP news agency reported.
The survey was carried out between August 14 and 25, 2022, on a sample of 1,043 Polish people, through computer-assisted personal interviewing (60 percent of the sample), computer-assisted telephone interviewing (23.3 percent of the sample) and computer-assisted web interviewing (16.7 percent of the sample).
